Safety First at Greater Shepparton Secondary College.

Greater Shepparton Secondary College is a completely new school formed after the amalgamation of three local secondary schools. As such it is one of the largest projects undertaken by the Victoria School Building Authority and is expected to have a total roll of over 2,200 students.

With such a large student body passing through its facilities every day, creating a safe environment that minimised hazards was a vital part of the project brief. Flooring plays an important role in hazard reduction and that is why Spectrum Floors were selected to provide critical safety enhancing products including stair nosing and matting for high traffic areas such as entranceways.

Safe, Secure and Hygienic

Spectrum’s stair nosings are designed to the highest standards and meet BCA requirements. Uniquely, Spectrum nosings not only achieve a P4 slip rating but also have a very lightly stippled surface making it easy to clean as there are no ribs or grooves to catch and trap dirt.

The Spectrum Nuwave matting is a strong single sided matting deployed at all entry points throughout the college. It provides a proven hard-wearing durability, moisture retention and soiling retention.
